  効率化のためにも、国は「民間払い下げ」をすべき、との記事。まだそうしたものを持っている間は良い訳ですが、手持ちを全て売り払ってしまった後に現在同様国家が負債を背負ってしまったときにはどうすべきでしょうか…？今の日本の財政運営だと、こういう自体に陥りかねないのが怖い。

  かつてのGerhard Schröderを見習って、フランスも経済立て直しの一手を打つことができるかどうか。そのようなことを言っている間に、右派（極右）の台頭も気になるところです（そして日本でも）。

  バイオメディカル領域の研究が、徐々に東、すなわちアジアの持つ比重が上がりつつあることについて。日本もそれなりに頑張っている（と見なされている）ようです。
• Academic publishing: “No peeking…”—A publishing giant goes after the authors of its journals’ papers
  インターネットの普及による論文のオープン掲載化と、これまでの論文誌（を発行している出版社）との関係について。出版社は論文の分析（インパクトファクターなど）に力を注いでいるように思えますが、これもオープンに分析できるようになってしまうかも知れません。
